The vibrant and joyous “Wyndham Holi” festival took place on Saturday, 15th March 2025, at Presidents Park, Wyndham Vale, leaving attendees mesmerised by its colorful and cultural extravaganza. Organised by the Victorian Cultural Association (VCA), the event celebrated its 11th anniversary, bringing together the community in a grand celebration of unity, diversity, and the spirit of Holi.
The festival, founded by local community member Vinayak Kolape, aimed to spread the message of peace and harmony through the vibrant festival of colors. This year’s event was a testament to its growing popularity, attracting families and individuals from all walks of life.
The day began at 1:00 PM and continued until 9:00 PM, offering eight hours of non-stop entertainment. Attendees danced to the beats of Bollywood music played by live DJs, enjoyed mesmerizing stage performances by local artists, and participated in the Color Run, which also raised funds for local charity organizations. The festival grounds were filled with laughter and joy as people smeared each other with vibrant colors, embracing the true essence of Holi.
Food lovers indulged in a variety of mouth-watering cuisines from the numerous food stalls, while shoppers explored the diverse market stalls showcasing unique offerings from local artisans and businesses. Families enjoyed fun-filled rides, creating unforgettable memories for both kids and adults.
As the sun set, the sky lit up with a spectacular fireworks display around 8:30 PM, marking the grand finale of the festivities. The evening concluded on a high note, with attendees leaving with hearts full of joy and faces painted in bright hues.
The event was a family-friendly, non-alcoholic celebration, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. Hassle-free car parking arrangements and a strong security presence added to the seamless experience. Attendees also had the chance to win exciting prizes through raffle ticket draws.
The Victorian Cultural Association, a non-profit organisation, once again demonstrated its commitment to fostering cultural diversity and inclusivity through this remarkable event.
